It's a cold day in Orlando...

Here's my sweet husband and our little babies

15 weeks and 4 days

Stephen and I woke up this morning and were headed out the door for our daily walk when I realized that the shorts and tank top I had on would not cut it. IT IS FREEZING OUTSIDE. So I came in and put on pants and a sweatshirt, Stephen grabbed a hoodie, and we made it about 4 houses down. It is too cold, we had to come back in. We'll try again later....Well, I've been feeling good all week. I'm still really sleepy but other than that I'm good. Oddly enough my belly looks smaller this week than it did last week. Maybe I was just bloated for a week? Who knows! I'm finally able to be nice to my students which has been a real struggle all year long. I'm telling you that these hormones have thrown me completely out of whack... Yesterday I packed for our trip to Birmingham. Yes, I know we don't leave for another week but I want to be prepared. Besides, I didn't think I would be needing any of my warm clothes down here; little did I know. I am super excited to go up and I really hope that this week just flies by.... Stephen is feeling better about his job. Sears has readjusted their pricing so he has been able to finally make some sales. YAY!!! Other than that I don't think there is anything to update :-) Y'all have a great week and I'll see some of you soon :-)
I finally uploaded new pictures to my photobucket so click on the link to see the latest :-)

It's been a while

14 weeks, 5 days
I haven't updated the blog in a while and mom got on to me this morning so here is an update :-) Last month we spent almost a week in Birmingham. My brother and nephew met us at moms so we got to spend some quality time together. Stephen mainly played golf while we were there but I hung out with mom and Christian and Haven. Christian, Haven, and I painted a few walls in moms house and went to the Mt. Laurel Fall Festival. We had a nice time. We brought mom back home with us and she stayed down here for a week and a half. Mom and I did lots of shopping while she was here and she got to hang out with her sister Rachel also. Stephen and I will be going back to Birmingham in a couple of
weeks for Thanksgiving so I am very excited.

I've been feeling better and better. I have actually noticed that the last few days I actually feel GOOD, which is a feeling I haven't felt in 3 months. I am 14 weeks and 5 days pregnant and my belly has definitely grown. I am still wearing my normal clothes but I did buy a few maternity things last week end just to be prepared :-) I finally told my principle that I am pregnant and she was happy for me. I am thinking that I will probably start my maternity leave at the beginning of April. Spring Break isn't until the week of April 7th so I was hoping to come back for a few days after that just so that I can get paid for the week of spring break. BUT, who knows, we'll just have to see how I feel and how big I am. Who knows if I'll still have the energy (or patience) to deal with the high school kids when I am 8 months pregnant!

Stephen and I went to an air show at NASA today, it was lots of fun. Neither of us have even been to an air show so it was nice to experience that together. It was however COLD outside and I had on shorts and a tank top; as did everyone else there. I stayed huddled under the blanket for the most part trying not to freeze to death.
I guess that's all for now... I'll update again soon :-)

Pregnancy Update

This is me last Sunday
Things seem to be looking up for me. I am not really feeling nauseous any longer but am still extremely tired. I have also finally gotten the energy to start working out again. Those of you that talk to me on a regular basis know that before I got pregnant I was at the gym 5-6 days a week so the lack of exercise for the last couple of months has really been getting to me. We did quit the YMCA because the weather is just so nice right now that I am just walking outside and doing arm/leg exercises at home. On a more frustrating note: I don't know if I have gained any weight (that's not the problem) however, my belly is protruding slightly and I just look chubby. I went to the mall today and was actually trying to hide my stomach. I had on a white tank top and it was not flattering. I am not used to being this self conscious so it was annoying. I didn't stay long because I felt like everyone was looking at my belly. I will be happier when I actually look pregnant and not just fat.... A lot of my pants are getting tight around the waist so I bought a couple of belly bands, one white, one black, and will start using them tomorrow. You put them around your waist over your unbuttoned pants and no one can tell that your pants aren't buttoned. It also gives extra coverage so that when I raise my hands to write on the board, or bend over to do whatever, my back doesn't show :-) So, that is that...Stephen and I are going to Birmingham on Tuesday, after school, and I am so excited! We were supposed to leave on Wednesday but I don't think Stephen is going to work Tuesday, which means we leave a day early. We are taking the dogs with us and I am taking some Christmas Tree decorations up so the car is crowded. However, I have already packed and am happy to say that all the decorations, luggage, and new window treatments for the log house fit in the trunk of my car. Stephen didn't understand why I wanted to pack two days early but it's just nice to have the peace of mind of knowing that I'm ready to go. I can't wait to see my mom and all of our friends. The fundraising banquet for By Provision is Thursday so that is the main reason we are going up, I like to help and just be there.
Oh, and did I mention that I have a feeling the baby is a girl? I don't know why I feel this way I just do. I have been looking at girl bedding just in case ;-)

Life is changing....

Stephen and I are going to be parents!! I am 9 weeks pregnant :-) The baby is due May 6th. I am very excited but a little nervous at the same time. I've been feeling really tired and off and on nausceous. If everyone would pray for us and the baby that would be wonderful. I'll post the first sonogram pictures soon!!

Football Weekends

Well not much has been going on down here in Florida. I've just been busy with work and being lazy :-) Stephen has been working and playing golf. He is looking for a new job in Birmingham so hopefully that will pan out for us. We've been watching football ALL weekend, every weekend for the past few weeks :-) I made football cupcakes yesterday and they were really good; Yummy!Stephen and I are going up to Birmingham in a couple of weeks so that we can help mom with the By Provision Banquet. I am super excited; we haven't been home since the end of June. On another note, unfortunately our house did not sell so it is back on the market. I pray that it will sell, but Fall is not the easiest time so we'll see. Stephen and I are both anxious to get back up to Birmingham so the waiting is killing us. So anyways, that's just a little update on our lives; nothing too totally interesting...

Retaliation

Well, I decided against retaliation this morning. I guess I can excuse their ignorance this ONE TIME. If it happens again I might be forced to go over and say something to them. So, Stephen and I just went to eat dinner and oddly enough most of the restaurants here in downtown Sanford are closed on Monday's. I thought that was really wierd but I guess that's small town mentality? We did get to eat on the lake and I had a yummy house salad with grilled chicken (and of course some french fries/hush puppies :-) ) Just thought I would let y'all know that I decided to control my rage this morning :-)

Our Neighbors

Our neighbors are so extremely rude. First of all someone stole both of our bikes. Secondly, this morning, Sunday, at 8 a.m. our neighbor to the right is in his suv honking the horn over and over. I actually got up, turned off the alarm, went out there, and gave him the "What is your problem" look. Still, two minutes later he was honking again. What I really want to do is sit outside of my house tomorrow morning when I am getting ready to leave for work at 6am and honk my horn a few times. Hmmmm, decisions decisions...
